In the UK, bachelor’s degrees are awarded with or without honours depending on the institution. But usually international students get confused with the grading system requirements of the UK, there you go:
First class honours (1st) : Average overall score during bachelors should be 70% or past 70%. This is the highest degree classification (70% +)
Second class honours or 2.1 : Average overall score during bachelors should be 60% or past 60%. This is also known as the upper division.
Second class honours or 2.2 : Average overall score during bachelors should be 50% or past 50%. This is also known as the lower division.
Third class honours (3rd) : Average overall score during bachelors should be 40% or past 40%.
Usually institutions and universities across the UK, ask for 2.1 or 2.2 honoured bachelor’s degrees, pretty similar to India, Ain't it?
